The Peloponnese (Pelops' Island) is a pretty remarkable place. Nearly completely disconnected from Attica (save the Isthmus of Corinth), it is mountainous, rugged, and much less heavily populated than Athens.
The famous cities of Corinth, Sparta, Mycenae, and the sanctuary of Olympia are all located in the Peloponnese. It's a pretty exciting place - I'll try to separate these out into subjects and get some pictures posted up here.
